Cedar St. A&W Drive-In DRIVE-IN RESTAURANTS

Lansing was once home to nearly forty Drive-In Restaurants. Along with drive-in theaters, these restaurants rode a wave of post-war popularity thanks to a car obsessed nation. Changing culture, a short season, and the arrival of fast food all helped contributed to the demise of the drive-in restaurants.

RESTAURANTS

Sit-down Restaurants were aplenty in Lansing, serving up all sorts of delicious meals. You could enjoy fried clams at Howard Johnsons, or a filet mignon at Mountain Jacks. Many more tasty memories can be found here.
